Greetings! My name is Gary Priest but most everyone calls me Padre. This is my personal blog about communications related topics, mostly radio. Radio is fascinating as it is about as close to magic as you can get in the realm of applied science.

Part of my motivation for starting this blog is that I miss the old internet. I’m old enough to remember when most of the content on the internet was self-published and the governing philosophy was one of share and share alike. Now everything on the internet is monetized and something was lost along the way. Here is my attempt at creating a space to share what I’ve learned, no strings attached.
